Questions people ask before they pay
Short answers, grouped by what people worry about.
Money and buying
What’s included in the price, and what costs extra?
The price covers the design work and the files listed on the package. It doesn’t cover things other companies bill you for: printing and shipping, a Squarespace or WordPress plan, a domain name, stock photos, and fonts that need a paid license. You buy those in your own name, at what they cost. We don’t mark them up.
Do I pay everything up front?
Yes, in full, before we start. You pay on Stripe’s page, and we never see your card number. Prices are in US dollars. If any sales tax applies to your order, it will be shown before you pay. Over $15,000, or something that doesn’t fit a package? Ask for a quote and we’ll write one price down.
Ask for a quoteWhat’s your refund policy?
Before we start: full refund. After we start but before your first concepts: we keep 25% of that item’s price (minimum $50) and refund the rest. After your first concepts are sent: no refund for that item. If we can’t do the job, you get a full refund of that item. Refunds go back to your card through Stripe. The full version has examples.
Read the Refund PolicyDoes a prepaid month keep charging me?
No. Prepaid. One month, paid once. It ends by itself after 30 days, or sooner when the work is delivered. Nothing renews. If you want another month, you buy it again. Hours or posts you don’t use expire at the end of the month and don’t roll over.

How many revisions do I get?
Logo design and label design come with 2 rounds. Other packages list their rounds on the package. A round is one consolidated set of changes, sent together in one message, within the direction we agreed on. Need more? Extra revision round, $199. Send your changes within 14 days of delivery.
How long does it usually take?
It depends on the package, and it starts once we have a complete brief. Templates, stationery, menus, signs and ad sets: first drafts usually in 5 to 7 business days. Logos and labels: usually 7 to 10. Brand kits and websites take longer, usually 2 to 3 weeks to first drafts. Bundles usually run 6 to 8 weeks overall.
See the whole processWhat if I don’t like any of the concepts?
Tell us what’s off, and use a revision round to steer: color, type, layout, more or less of something. If you want an entirely different direction, that’s a new concept. We’ll quote it. After your first concepts are sent, there’s no refund for that item, so read the Refund Policy before you pay. If we can’t do the job as briefed, we refund that item in full.
Can you change things after I approve?
Once you sign off, the job is done. A typo we introduced, we’ll fix. Anything new after approval is a new request. A new direction isn’t a revision; ask and we’ll quote it. More changes inside the same direction? That’s an Extra revision round.
Files and rights
What file formats do I get?
Depends on the package. Logos come as SVG, EPS, PDF and PNG, in color, one color and reversed. Print work comes as print-ready PDFs with a CMYK or Pantone spec. Social templates come in Canva and Figma. Websites are built on your Squarespace or WordPress account. Each package lists its files.
Who owns the files?
You do, once you’ve paid in full. We assign you the copyright in the final files we deliver. Until then you can review them but not publish them. Drafts, unused concepts, and our own tools and templates stay ours. We show your work in our portfolio only if you say yes in writing.
Read the TermsCan you check if my name is trademarked?
No. We don’t run trademark searches or promise that a name or logo can be registered. If you plan to register a mark, talk to a trademark attorney before you spend money on printing.
Print and packaging
Is printing included?
No. We deliver files, never printed goods. Printing, proofs and shipping are billed by your printer, not by us. Colors can look different on screen and on press, so order a printer’s proof before a full run.
What’s a dieline, and who supplies it?
A dieline is the flat outline of a label, box or pouch, showing where it folds, cuts and bleeds. Your printer has one for each product. Ask for it before you order, send it with your brief, and we design on top of it.
See packaging and printCMYK or Pantone?
CMYK is four-ink printing, good for photos and gradients. Pantone is a specific mixed ink, good for one or two brand colors that have to match every time. Ask your printer what each costs; Pantone often adds a charge. We send a spec sheet with the values for whichever your job uses.
Do you handle barcodes, nutrition panels and FDA rules?
We place them; we don’t write or review them. You supply the label text, including ingredients, nutrition panels, allergen statements, barcodes and any health, organic or other claims. You, or your regulatory advisor, confirm that your label meets the rules for your product before it’s printed.
Websites
Squarespace or WordPress? And who owns it?
Either. Squarespace is simpler to edit and its fee includes hosting. WordPress is more flexible and needs more upkeep. We build on your own account, so you own it from day one, and you pay the platform, domain and hosting at cost. You supply the text and photos; we place and style them.
